BIO
I was born in Monterrey, Mexico and didn’t care about writing until I was 20 years old.
In 2017, I created Argonáutica, a literary translation press. I moved to San Diego, CA, in 2019.
In 2024, I graduated from the MFA program in Creative Writing at The City College of New York, where I worked on a memoir-in-essays about my writing life. That same year, I moved to Washington, DC.
BOOKS
My first novel Ruinas (CONARTE/Conaculta 2015) was awarded with the Nuevo Leon Prize in Literature in 2014. In 2017, it came out as Humo with the Mexico City based NitroPress. I translated the short story collection Melville’s Beard || Las barbas de Melville, by Mark Haber
My second novel, Productos desechables, is forthcoming from Textofilia in Mexico.
